Are you the kind of guy others look up to? Do you know someone who is actively making a difference in their community or quietly inspiring others to reach for the stars? Well this campaign may be for you! BME or Black Male Engagement, pronounced “Be Me”, is a new campaign for black men and boys that spotlights proactive gentlemen who actively work hard in their communities to promote change and inspire others to do the same. The challenge is presented in two phases: Phase One the Call for Inspiration and Phase Two the Call for Action. Phase one was launched August 1st, and last weekend at the 71 POP event Michael-Anthony was approached by a few outstanding young gentlemen and given the opportunity to share his story on video about how he’s making a difference to promote change in the metro Detroit area. This video will then be uploaded to www.bmechallenge.org to stand amongst other entries for phase two which launches October 24th, where the community decides which project is most needed in their city. For more information on the challenge details and deadlines visit their site. This is your chance to share, inspire, and empower others to be the change you want to see in the world.
